When I reached 3 credits, 3 lines, the machine would not let me go back to 'bet 1 credit' nor cash out. I first bet 1 credit with three lines, then decided to see what the different options were. The slot machine on the back wall forced me to place a bet at 'MAX BET' (something like $50 a spin). I had a pretty good experience until I decided to try a few spins on the high roller slots.
